*These are the general rules that apply to everywhere on the site, not just the RP'ing boards, unless otherwise specified. Bio-making rules will be posted in a different thread.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the Questions board.
1. Don't double-post. This means posting twice {or more} in a row on a thread. If you desparately need to add something, there's a nifty little "edit post" button for your use at the top of your post.
2. Don't spam. Spamming is where you post something totally random and irrelevant {like "hai wot's up" in a RP'ing thread}. It's annoying and nobody likes it getting in the way of life.
3. Star out any cuss words you use {don't use too many, or we'll ban them altogether} and don't RP parties. Just say they did it. {see the Lords' Dictionary for further explanation}
4. Make sure your character follows all the guidlines in the Character Rules thread.
5. Plagiarism is illegal. So don't do it. This means copying anything without permission and calling it your own. Don't do it.
6. Don't argue with the staff - we know what we're doing. And none of us are power-hungry freaks. Nope. Not at all.
7. The only places you can advertise are in your sig or on the ad board. Anywhere else is unallowed.
RP'ing Rules:
*These rules are specific to RP'ing {duh} and obviously don't apply to the other boards.
8. Autoing is controlling someone else's character {like saying: "Bob looked up at all the anxious faces staring worriedly at him" when no one has stated that their character is looking at Bob}. Don't do it. It's annoying, and even worse in battle.
9. In battle, you obviously can't auto. Just say that your character aimed for his/her opponent and leave it at that. The other person will decide whether or not your attack hits.
10. Even though characters can have powers, they can't be invincible. An Apprentice would probably lose a fight against a Master, so don't say that they did. Characters like that are generally called Mary-Sues and are frowned upon {or laughed at} in most societies.
11. I'm sorry, but your character can't break the time-space continuum by being in more than one thread at once. The only exception is for high positions such as the Lords, their 2nd and 3rd in-commands, and the rebel leaders. This is so that all the threads they are needed in can be attended to much more quickly than if we had to obey the laws of physics.
See, that wasn't too painful, was it? Now read the Character Rules and you'll {finally} be ready to create a bio! PUZZaH!!
